SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATIONWho Qualifies
This contest is open to any graduating high school senior who primary residence receives electrical service and is a member-consumer of Barry Electric Cooperative.
What You Win
Barry Electric Cooperative shall make available scholarships to FOUR graduating High School Seniors on Barry Electric’s system of $500.00 each that meet the qualifications.
How to Enter
Submit a 600-word, typed, creative essay with a cover page on one of the following topics:
"Explain the purpose behind why electric cooperatives were formed."
Or
"What are heat pumps and why are they beneficial?"
How to Win
A panel of judges will judge the essay. Essays will be scored on knowledge of subject, originality, content (ability to adhere to topic), composition and grammar, spelling and neatness. Essays must be delivered to the Barry Electric Office no later than 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 2nd, 2010.
